- Read MP.DOC before you read this file.
-
- MP is very flexible because:
-
- o It can translate between 3 kinds of data formats:
-
- - Text.
- - Binary data.
- - MIDI data.
-
- o The input/output can be sent to/from:
-
- - Your CLI window.
- - Files, using -g and -p.
- - Files, using the CLI redirection symbols "<" and
- ">".
- - Newly-created windows, by specifying a file
- name like "CON:0/0/640/100/MP Input".
- - The MIDI port.
-
- MP does not have a window/mouse/icon graphic interface; instead, YOU
- design the interface using CLI scripts. See the "Scripts" directory
- for some small examples. You can use MP in AREXX scripts too.
-
- For a Workbench interface, use the IconX program (supplied with your
- Amiga) to attach an icon to a CLI script. Then fill the CLI script
- with MP commands.
-
- The directory "Examples" has some sample files that use the input
- text language. You can send them to your synthesizer.
